1. To add in additional pages to your CanonFoto album, click the Home menu on the top bar.

2. Click the Add option in the Page menu panel.

3. You now have two choices:

   • ADD PAGE - adds 2 additional pages
   • ADD PAGES - adds any number of pages you want. Just key in the number.

To align the edges of your photo:

1. Select a photo in the page layout area to be a guide. To select multiple photos, select a photo as a guide, hold down the CTRL key and click on the desired photos.

2. Under the Edit menu at the top bar, go to the Display Alignment tool panel.

3. Select the desired alignment to apply to photos. Repeat process as necessary until photos are aligned to your satisfaction.

   Alignment Choices

   • LEFT - aligns edges to the left
   • RIGHT - aligns edges to the right
   • TOP - aligns edges to the top
   • BOTTOM - aligns edges to the bottom
   • EQUAL X - equal vertical spacing between photos
   • EQUAL Y - equal horizontal spacing between photos
   • WIDTH - Stretches width of photo to match
   • HEIGHT - Stretches height of photo to match

A masking effect allows certain parts of your photo to be shown over the background.

1. To do a masking effect, double click the photo in the page layout OR select the 'Edit' option under the Photo menu on the top bar. The Image Editor will open.

2. Select the Edit tool panel.

3. Double click on the desired masking effect from the selection of masking options shown at the side bar. You can see the masking effect straight away on the photo.

4. Click 'Save' under the EDIT tool to save the edited photo. This ends the masking process. You are then taken back to the page layout.

• APPLY BACKGROUND COLOUR

  1. To apply a background colour, select the Page on the page layout.

  2. Click Background menu on the top bar. Choose the Colour tool panel. Select a colour from colour palette.

  3. Check to apply to all pages or uncheck box to apply to single page.

  4. Click OK.

  5. Colour has been applied as a background.

• APPLY BACKGROUND PHOTO

  1. To apply a photo as a background, select the Page on the page layout.

  2. Right click the desired photo from the thumbnail gallery at the side bar. Choose the option: Set as Background.

  3. To make the background photo opaque, click the photo on background then click Background menu on the top bar. Select the PHOTO tool panel and choose opacity to make the photo opaque.

     Opacity Choices

     • 100%
     • 80%
     • 60%
     • 40%
     • 20%

  4. Photo has been applied as a background.

For Photo Editing, double click the photo or click the PHOTO menu on the top bar.

You have a choice of 3 sub menus: RESIZE, EDIT and ROTATE.

• RESIZE - Proportional
• EDIT - Edit
• ROTATE - Left, Right

Click Edit. An IMAGE EDITOR window with tool panels will open.

• EDIT

  • Reset - Undoes all changes until your last save point
  • Save - Saves the changes you have made

• UNDO / REDO

  • Undo - Erases your last action
  • Redo - Redoes your last action

• ZOOM

  • In - Zooms into the photo
  • Out - Zooms out of the photo
  • Rectangle - Zooms in on selection
  • Fit - Fits view of template into the screen

• ROTATE

  • Left - rotates photo 90 degrees left
  • Right - rotates photo 90 degrees right

• FLIP

  • Horizontal
  • Vertical

• SELECTION

  • Pan
  • Select
  • Crop

• ADJUST

  Each effect you select will automatically adjust to its optimised level

  • Brightness
  • Contrast
  • Levels
  • Invert
  • Equalize
  • Noise

• EFFECT

  Changes the colour tone to:

  • Sepia
  • Red
  • Yellow
  • Blue
  • Green
  • Gray

Edits made are instantly shown on the photo.

1. Click the Home menu on the top bar.

2. Select Project panel and click New.

3. The CANONFOTO Wizard will open.

4. Click Create new project

5. Type in project name. Click Next.

6. Select category theme for book from pull down menu
   Choices are: Wedding, Baby or Holiday.

7. Select book size.

8. Select photos from the folder in your hard drive.
   Click check all if you want all the photos. Click the Add button.

9. Click Next.

10. Select cover type
    Choices are: Deboss, Soft Cover, Dust Jacket and Spine Cover.

11. Click Next

12. Select cover design

13. Click photo from the thumbnail gallery in side bar. Drag and drop it onto the active page.

14. You can also choose the colour for the cover page.

15. Click Finish. Canonfoto will then ask you if you wish for auto layout, say "yes".

16. Your CANONFOTO has been created.

When you have completed your album, you can choose either to do an 'offline' order or 'online' order. For offline orders:

1. Click the Order menu on the top bar.

2. The CANONFOTO Wizard will open.

3. Click Order at the Ordering panel.

4. Select Offline Order.

5. Fill in Order Details. Click Next.

6. Review Job Sheet. Click Next

7. Canonfoto will then prepare a preview of the album. Review Preview. If satisfied, click Next.

8. You be asked to insert a blank CD. Select Next.

9. When your project has been successfully burnt onto CD, go to your nearest Canonfoto Outlet.

10. Offline ordering is now done.

When you have completed your album, you can choose either to do an 'offline' order or 'online' order. For online orders:

1. Click the Order menu on the top bar.

2. Click Order at the Ordering panel.

3. Select Online Order.

4. Enter username and password. Click login.

5. Project will be prepared for preview. Review project. Click confirm.

6. Files will then be uploaded to the server.

7. Once files are uploaded, re-login.

8. Fill in Order Details. Click Next. Fill in Payment Details.

9. Confirm Order.

10. Online ordering is done.

You can replace the photos shown on your page layout by:

1. Select the photo to be replaced on the page layout.

2. Select a photo from the thumbnail gallery in the left side bar.

3. Drag and drop the photo on the one to be replaced in the page layout.

1. Select the photo to be rotated on the page layout.

2. Click the Photo menu at the top bar.

3. Click either Left or Right in Rotate menu. Canonfoto will automatically rotate the photo at a 90 degree angle.

1. Select a photo on the page layout as a guide and hold down CTRL while you select another photo or other photos.

2. Under the Edit menu at the top bar, click Display Alignment.

3. Click Width to make the width the same for the photos.

4. Click Height to make the height the same for the photos.

5. Your photo's width will follow the same width/height as the first photo you had selected as the guide.

6. Drag your altered photo(s) to the desired location.

1. To insert text, click the Text menu in the top bar.

2. Select New in the Text.

3. Select where you want to place your text in the page layout.

4. Text Editor will open. Type your text in the Text Editor.

5. You can adjust the placement and size of your text clicking the text box on the layout and dragging its outline.

   In the Text menu on the top bar, you can also change:

   • Font size
   • Text styles -bold, italics or underline
   • Alignment - left, centre or right
   • Text vertical position - top left, centre or bottom right
   • Font colour
